    Big J Yellows

He is on 9 and needs to get through match 32 - which is Palace to avoid a 2 game ban.

If he gets a yellow he misses the next two so better for him to get 2 yellows for a one game ban and his yelliws tally then stays at 9 as 10 and 11th yellow equates to a red.

    ....if this makes sense.

It makes sense but is that right? If so, it?s a loophole.

Bruno managed something like 9 games in a row without a yellow when he was on 9 so hopefully Joe can manage this one.

Ban incoming though, I suspect. 🤪

That's hell of a loophole, struggle to believe it would work if it happened.

Probably retrosectively change it so he gets the 2 game ban and the 1 game ban.

If I get it right, it means that when on 9 yellows, and you receive two yellows, you miss 1 game and then you are technically still on 9 yellows and next one is 2 matches ban

So if J7 is booked its either he misses two and resets the count or he gets second yellow, sent off, sit one out and then still on thin ice with bookings.

May be makes sense at the end of the season, but have no idea if suspension applies to next season

Did well to avoid that final yellow over all those games, like Bruno the year before. I was relieved when he was substituted, and that put an end to the situation.

Aye - Tindell has timed subbing him to perfection in both games.

You could tell by his body language that he was being careful. He still did his thing but there was more shoulder shrugging and less aggression towards the refs decision than usual.
Mind you I thought the ref was very poor for the pen. He should have told the VAR refs to f*** off. So long for the VAR refs to decide, then so long for the ref in front of the tv? Clear and obvious mistake? My a*se.

It's great that Joey has evolved control as well as destruction.

Hasn't looked any less impactful over the last few days. I'd argue he's actually been a better version of himself. Perhaps this is again 'The Tonali effect?'

Sandro seems to have completely changed the entire dynamic of the team. Some of those long switches of play Tonali pulls off are just epic.

I said it in another thread. " I didn't think I'd see a better midfielder in a B&W shirt than Bruno, but Tonali is a totally world class player "
