Once we upped the pace and became more direct in the second half we then thoroughly deserved todays important victory. Stewart easily the mom as besides the penalty save he singlehandedly kept us in the game in the first half with a string of excellent saves.

Cracking result which extends the season and a chance for promotion. However I missed most of the game after having a nightmare on the way to the ground, getting a puncture on the car. On getting to the ground ant anbout 4pm I explained to the steward at the gate and showed him my ticket. He tells me there is absolutely no problem and allows me entry. As this is happening two other stewards are watching at the top of the slope. They then approach me as I?m walking up and say I am not allowed entry as I can?t re-enter the ground after leaving. I tell him I?m aware of that but explain that this was me arriving after having a bit of a nightmare. He then states the obvious that the game started at 3pm and points me towards the exit gate. Both were simply told to f!!k off as by this time I was raging and walk on iron the ground with one of them shouting they are only doing there jobs, to which I replied ?and I am just trying to get to a match that I have paid 18 quid for?. There attitude and the way they spoke to me would be enough to stop some from going back to Palmerston. Something the club can?t afford. Absolutely fuming with there attitude and for me they two were complete jobs worths.

I would write to the club to ensure that they are aware of this. The problem is the stewarding by nobodies who think that as soon as they put on the uniform they suddenly are important and have power that they do not hold.

Spike don?t get me wrong. Not all are like that. The lad at the gate was most polite and after showing him my ticket even told me to enjoy the game as best as I could and was sorry for the grief I had in getting to the game. He was a great advert for the club with his attitude towards the situation.
Then the gestapo got involved despite watching what had happened at the gate. I have went to watch queens for 47 years, some years more regular than others admittedly, and I have never experienced the attitude I got from Dempsey and makepiece. If that?s what happens to people who are sitting on the fence about coming back to watch queens then it?s no wonder the crowds are so low. I may just take up your advice and let the club know about this

I agree that it is just a few but the club needs to be made aware that this is happening which potentially may deter supporters from coming to Palmerston which should be a friendly welcoming place.

Unfortunately most haven?t a brain cell between them and lack any common sense.
