We can but hope the wheels fall off next season. Thousands of "fans" coming out of the woodwork tonight

It goes to show MONEY can buy you out of anything. Well done to Wrexham and I applaud them for their double jump up the league......we once did it with Evo or has everyone forgot that?
What you have to admire is their background structure in marketing and sponsorship. They have recently secured 5 years deals from HP Sauce and an Airline that have deposited a whopping 11.6 Million pounds! Now that's running a club!!!!
Theirs was a treble jump Brin. Conference to the Championship. Pretty impressive. Money doesn?t guarantee anything.
We did it with Ronnie Moore too, with a fraction of the budget that Wrexham have spent.
With fast tracked, almost inevitable success, often comes resentment. It's just a part of being human I suppose. When we got back to back promotions under Ronnie, and even Evans, we were seen as real underdogs and people like to support that. With Wrexham, it's the opposite. Huge investment from chairmen who are not only very rich, but have massive marketing reach via their Hollywood/Disney connections. As such they have attracted swathes of new "glory" fans who have jumped on the bandwagon and laud their new clubs' achievements over fans who have supported their local clubs through thick and thin for decades.
With the money and fame connection they were able to attract players in the National league who could comfortably operate two divisions higher. Nothing is inevitable in Football but it isn't an easy sell to fans of other clubs to have any affection for what equated to a middlewight boxer dominating the featherweight division. This has evolved with each promotion.
Add to that a dour, arrogant manager who does nothing but blame referees every time his team don't perform as they are expected to and again it's difficult to feel any warmth towards the club. Especially given the many reports of refs giving them favourable treatment to help keep the Hollywood script on track. Although to be fair this is probably just bitterness from opposition fans who lost to them that day.
However, undeneath all this is a genuine seam of decent, lifelong Wrexham fans who stood by their club whilst it deteriorated and turned out to support them when they fell through the leagues. Us Millers know all too well what it is like to nearly lose your beloved club and for those fans this success is a deserved reward and I hope that they can get a look in and enjoy the celebrations amid the sea of new supporters.
It is inevitable that they will end up in the Premier League/ Europe and there they will be much more at home with the filthy rich, global brand football teams. I genuinely wish them all the best in that. I won't be watching though. Not through any dislike of Wrexham, I just haven't watched the Premier League for years. I'm happy to watch the lower leagues, which will be all the better for seeing the back of the likes of Wrexham and Birmingham
Brilliant achievement and Ollie Rathbone is a much better quality player than I thought he was.
I did think Liam Delap might be worth more than ?10m one day when I saw him at 13 yo
Been twice to their ground to watch Roth U. Wish we'd build on the East stand even Donny their ground bigger capacity than ours makes them look more equipped to capitalise on getting in the championship than us.
