    Sunday

Looking forward to Sunday. Our game on espn live, followed by Liv v Chelsea.
A draw for us and a Liverpool win would be nice, but we can win if we get our pre-Villa form back. I have a feeling Isak will come back on the boil soon - all the great players do.

Whilst it's true that clubs probably can't afford him/we won't sell him, I do wonder if all the speculation has got into his head a little?

I'm not even saying that he wants to go-he's made it clear he's happy here but he's right at the top of the list of most talked about players and that constant focus must become a little wearing?

I can see Liverpool being on the beach now and Chelsea winning. Brighton have the hoodoo on us this season and it pissed me off in the cup.

This is a must win for me, we have to extinguish hope early and not give the top 5 chasers a sniff.

Who's to say that next season and onwards we can't be competing, and even bettering the teams that, Isak, and others at our place have been punted by the supposed knowalls as well as the guessers and stirrers in the media and even other clubs.

A mate of mine is a life long City fan. He used to take me to Maine Rd when I was at Uni in Manchester. You can imagine his hatred of the filth and how that has rubbed off on me. He was a staunch toon support (well Anyone but United really, however he held a special admiration for us) when City were out of the Prem and we were battling those scumbags for the title mid-90s.

We've been mates a long time Andy & I. We had a catch up call whilst I was at one airport or another. We're both in the same business, always trying to see if we can make something work and make some good money between us. Inevitably the conversation always drifts back to football.

I asked him what it was like when they were coming up. Different yes, as they didn't have so much restriction on their spending but they did have to suffer the disrespect from the MSM looking down on them. Mocking them when they were linked with Yaya Toure, only to eat their words when he signed for them. The negative coverage they got for the Robinho signing. On and on.

He said "they can't stand it mate, they'll not leave you alone until you've won consistently & are a serious title race. They'll do everything they can to derail the progress, they'll sell every top quality player to any club they can. They'll talk down the ability of managers and blow any small story of unrest in the camp out of proportion."

"Just laugh at it and know you Maggies are gonna right up there along side City as the main threat for titles in only a few years time."
