No real surprises in there for me. Maybe some of the younger ones at a push. I liked the look of Nathan James last preseason but that?s nearly 2 years ago and we have not seen him since.

The Humphrys one is an interesting one though as I could have sworn there was a year option that could be triggered. I would assume we have offered him a new deal that is longer but on less wages. I assume he will be speaking to us and some other clubs but hopefully he makes a decision early meaning he can have a proper preseason.

Some of the names on the retained list are a surprise to me, I can only assume they are still under contract. If they are contracted I guess some can still be moved on if clubs can be found for them.

With comprehensive change required on the playing front Conor and Co have their work cut out. Let?s hope it?s not the usual end of August last day of the window panic stations.

Donovan Pines - a 6?6? defender with speed - he needed more time. If he wanted to stay then he should have been offered a new contract - there?s potentially an expensive player here.
