Now the golf course is closed

Should the council be looking at a stadium where they planned one for the Euros, surely a better place than camperdown

I don’t think it would be. Far more traffic in that area.

Every football ground in UK has traffic congestion to a certain degree on match days.

    Campy will be no worse.

And I’ll believe it when I see it, before anyone piles in.

caird park would be far more easier access, every team bar Aberdeen would come from the west, an entry off kingsway and one off old glamis road would make it a lot easier than camperdown, plus there is plenty space for parking to be added

I agree that the former Caird Park golf course would be a far more suitable site for a new football stadium than the one at Campy Nou.
Dundee City Council could make a bit of money selling the site to Tim Keyes assuming that the Council have the right to sell the land in the first place. There might be clauses inserted in the title deeds which states that Caird Park was donated to the citizens of Dundee for sporting activities.
That means that the Council cannot sell the land and pocket the money for themselves.
New housing, shops, a hotel and a crematorium would not be permitted to be built on the Caird Park site.

So why would TK build a stadium there?

Don?t sell the land, make it council owned with a decent rent, profits from football go to clubs

Considering TK has already borrowed substantial funds from Soho Green with his Campy Nou site put up as security for his loan he might decide to not repay his loan and instead build a new stadium on a site owned by Dundee City Council.
