    Longstaff's value

Quoted below as only 10-12 million.

Rumours were that there were several clubs interested in him including longstanding admiration from Everton as well as Leeds. I would have expected at least between 20 and 25 million at this days prices.

Quote/ Football Insider claims Newcastle will accept offers of ?12million for Sean Longstaff this summer amid ongoing uncertainty about the midfielder's future at his boyhood club. Leeds United and Everton have both been linked with a move for the midfielder, who has made just 12 Premier League appearances for Eddie Howe's side this season.

?They could afford a deal for him, no doubt about that ? I don?t think it would cost too much to get [Longstaff] out of Newcastle?, O'Rourke told Football Insider. "He?s going into the final year of his contract at St James? Park so I don?t think Newcastle will be able to command a huge fee for him, you?re probably looking around ?10?12million.

?He?s been a long-term target for Everton in previous transfer windows ? if he?s looking at his long-term prospects, he?s probably not going to get regular first-team football at Newcastle next season. He?s only started eight Premier League games this season for Newcastle, so the player himself might feel this is the right time to move on.

The same people that recon Tyler Dibbling was ?100m.

I'd not wipe my backside with the Football Insider. They're out of their minds.

Sean Longstaff is 27, 170 Premier League appearances. TransferMarkt rate him at ?18,519m / ?22m.

We would expect to get that value all day long.

Everton & Leeds will both be interested possibly one of the other promoted teams too. He could do a good solid job for any of the both 8 teams.

The likes of West Ham, Spurs, The filth, those bottom half, relegation strugglers would be grateful to have an upgrade to their midfield in the shape of Longstaff.

I agree Bill. A solid, reliable pro who has performances in the locker. One of those players that goes unnoticed eith valueable contributions, just for whatever reason hadn't shown enough for where we want to be . Would strengthen any team 8th down and I rate him - could eventually become a big star in the right environment.

Young, British, talent, attitude. I would expect 25-30+ or thereabouts - more in a bidding war. If no-one comes in with the right money I'd offer another deal. Worth way more to us than 10 milion FFS.

The issue with Longstaff is that he's not a 'fashionable name' playing for an 'unfashionable club'. If he was Sergio Bast?n Largo & a graduate of a Cartel club or a Southampton he'd be crooned over by commentators and Pundits a like. They'd be talking about him in the ?30-40m territory.

When the filth offered ?50m I was astonished that Fatso didn't fire up the Chopper and fly him down there before they could change their mind.

He's been an excellent servant. Great lad, true Geordie legend, lived the dream of every lad born of an NE postcode.

Anything north of ?20m is a good price. We should be looking at the mid 20s to 30m in reality esp as you mention, should several clubs be in for him.

    Just reading this comedy. Hilarious.

"Manchester United are ready to cash in on Mason Mount when the summer window opens as they look to raise money for transfer"

Good luck with that. 1 year left on his contract, paid 60 million for him and is on 250k PW. Another Rashford situation.

Thanks Sclox! This is the perfect example of my 'Unfashionable Longstaff' comment. This absolute hype job, mediocre injury prone Ex-Cobhamite showed his disloyalty to Chelsea when the filth flashed the cash at him. Big time Charlie Mount thought the Chelsea offer was beneath him, so he betrayed the club he supported all his life, the club who taught, trained and developed him to join the filth for money. 2 hilariously poor injury riddle seasons later the filths media machine spring into overdrive to once again stoke the hype fires in an attempt to fool some stupid club owner that this douche is worth ?40-50m and they can get out of the shocking deal with some credibility.

Longstaff is as good as this Cockney chode all day long, half the attitude and 10% the injuries far more reliable.

However, Longstaff, in the eye's of the football establishment is a lesser player. It's really insulting!

Manure must have quite a few "Rashford situations" on their books which need to be addressed before they can make a move forwards.

Most of their squad i would expect.

On the longstaff value - they can **** off at ?10 million. He's worth double that minimum, to be honest, I'd be a bit disappointed if we only got ?20 million for him.
