Let?s hope he?s a little smarter than that.

They are truly awful. They will get destroyed unless they change out their squad. Hard to shine when they are as bad as they were this year

And why exactly would we be in a better position than Spurs to improve the squad? Just asking...

Can't improve a squad when you are only allowed to spend so much. They struggled yes and had there reasons but there players would make out team look like liverpool.
Your question is spot on and for me the answer there is no better.
I guess where Spaldy is going with is his not good enough for them so us would be a better option.

Have to wonder about a team that loans out a player that's better than anyone they had. This same team sold us Rodon and ended up playing Gray out of position because they had no viable CB's.

I may be naive but I think that PSR is starting to have a big impact. The "big six" don't automatically get the best players or have the most money to spend. I don't think it's a coincidence that Citeh, Scum, Spurs or Chelsea underperformed badly this year.

we are coming in with some momentum and have some hunger after losing out last year. we'd have broken the record for points if we had played Darlow all year. I know that's monday morning quarterbacking but it's likely true.

With a keeper, Left back, striker and keeping Solomon I think we have as good of a chance of staying up as 5 or 6 teams. The striker is key. If we could find someone that could just hit sitters as well as break away on some through balls we'd be sitting well. I know that's a big ask but they are out there.

Can't argue with your notion that with those sort of additions we should be way more competitive. But I guess my point was that Spurs "could" now be in a better position to improve their squad given they have made the Champions League. So wouldn't that look just as enticing to Archie?
