    📝Director of Performance Joins

As part of our ongoing efforts to drive elite standards in all aspects of player welfare, we?re excited to announce the appointment of Dr David Rhodes as Director of Performance.

Currently employed by MLS side DC United as their Director of Human Performance, Dr Rhodes boasts a highly impressive CV spanning more than 20 years in professional football.

    ...

The Brothers are clearly not happy at the level of injuries last season.

And there's a hint that the new head coach announcement is imminent.

?Using his vast experience, knowledge and passion, Dr Rhodes will refine our existing processes and strategies, and implement new ones, to maximise player availability and ensure the squad is in the best possible physical and mental condition.

?Alongside Roberto Gagliardi, we?ll also be utilising Dr Rhodes? expertise to more effectively incorporate physical characteristics into our data model ? both to aid player recruitment and performance analysis. We see this as an important step forward which will help us build squads that can compete more effectively with physical opposition.

?The news of Dr Rhodes? appointment precedes an important update we look forward to sharing with supporters in the near future.

    .. and more

Think this bit is the most interesting - "As well as introducing our new coaching team, we’ll be announcing a restructuring of our football department – and explaining how it will help us achieve our ambitious plans for the club.”

So do I. It's good to see that lessons may have been learned that as well as being able to play a possession game we also need players at this level who are able to win their individual battles and deal with the rough and tumble of league two to earn the right to play such a game.

The Bishops and Ravenhills spoiler types in midfield may belong to a different era, but fundamentally a league two side still needs some of that in it's armour in my opinion if it want's to get out of this league.

Possibly will help recruitment too, if players can see the professional set up we have and there?s a guy with really good experience that can help them perform better got to be another big tick when considering moving to us, certainly won?t be seen negatively.
