Well if he's half the player GA was it should be OK.

We need a strong experienced battling midfielder. Not a Loan signing from league 1. Abbott was prem so much more class.

How many times you seen him play Mapperley? The same you'd seen Abbott when we signed him I'm guessing...

I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with this^^^

How about we keep our powder dry until we see him play?
He's 1.9m so a big lad and hopefully strong and athletic. Most on this forum agreed Notts lacked physicality last season, first two signings through the door seem to be trending towards addressing that.

The 20-year-old midfielder made 12 first-team appearances for Huddersfield Town in all competitions last season, but missed much of the second half of the campaign with a back injury.

Town are now keen to get more regular football for Iorpenda next season to aid the development of one of their most promising youngsters.

Terriers manager Lee Grant said in a club statement: ?Tom is a young player with plenty of potential that has come through the ranks here at the club. It is incredibly important at this stage of his career that he experiences game time in the EFL to continue his already impressive development.

?A season in Sky Bet League Two with Notts County is a great opportunity for him to get used to the physical demands required to perform at this level, and we are confident that Tom will thrive in this situation.

?We will be keeping a close eye on Tom?s time in Nottinghamshire and are looking forward to seeing his ability and confidence continue to grow.?

Can Scott Robertson not be that ‘experienced, battling midfielder’ if he’s fit?

But we only found out Abbott was excellent after having him here and actually seeing him play. I do not remember many saying he would be as good as he was the day he signed.

Also, the season doesn?t start for another two months or so, plenty of time to do more business.
