More revenue brought into the club

Well done to Steve Coakley and all involved bringing in this fresh revenue to the club.

We as fans often focus on the players/results/stats etc while not realising just how much hard work is going on behind the scenes, especially involving revenue streams so, reading this makes for a more secure footing for all concerned in RUFC. Well done everyone.

Let's hope we 'PROSPER' from it.

Honestly I don?t think the revenue stream have kept up with the growth of the club.

They seem void of leadership and ambition. People who are in sales and marketing will look at us as an investment and see this and wonder whether we are the right club to provide enough coverage for them.
There is a lot of retired miners and steelworkers in the area so this company is probably tapping into this.

Each year there are many companies that sign sponsorship deals with clubs. They spend millions to get coverage for their product but we don?t seem to get any new ones.

I do believe that they need a rocket up their backsides!

Relying on one guy on marketing and publicity is shameful. I know that we have a couple in there now but clubs like Lincoln who took one of our staff members last season have 3 times more in their media team.

If you can?t get the word out for the sponsors and they feel like they don?t get enough coverage then they?ll look elsewhere to invest.

Unfortunately mr Stewart doesn?t see this as being important enough so has hampered them somewhat by not providing the staff needed! And that is why he has to dig into his pocket to fill the financial gap.

    Good afternoon pal.

Are we really a big enough club though, media spotlight etc that any very big company would want to invest Millions in, say on sponsorship/shirt advertisement etc? I think that's where the problem lies within.

We are a small club and will always feed at lower end of the money sponsorship/investment chain.

Only if and when we are eventually taken over by owners who will have loftier ambitions, will we ever see anything like a good outside sponsor investement. That is the Tony Stewart bit I think you are mentioning.

There are 92 opportunities for companies to invest into like ours.

46 matches at a weekend that are shown around the world.

Most of our sponsors are local small companies. It is easier to pick these companies up as partners or sponsors.

You praised the club but I don?t think they are worthy of that praise.
The main sponsor is the owner.

I would bet that everyone that watches the live streams know which garage is in Rotherham! And that is because of their advertising panel on the halfway line.
