Absolutely nothing would surprise me in relation to the cartel and the Premier League.

Just an interesting point of view put forward by someone in another group I'm in.
Have the Cartel 6 been tipped the wink about something going down with PSR - maybe in relation to Citys charges.
I know they all have money but they are spending like sailors in a brothel on shore leave.
I'm probably way off the mark but could it be they have been discreetly (illegally) notified of what the changes are and now using that to their advantage.
Imagine that owners are allowed to put in x-amount of money into club finances etc. as long as not leveraged against club assets etc. or sumit like that.
So PIF could have put the money in for Etikite, Trafford, Mbuembo etc. and wages straight off and it wouldn't have affected, however they can't due to PSR but then this change is announced at the end of hte window.
I don't know - it could well be *******s but I'm sure they've been tipped wink in advance of rest of us.

The Prem have been shadowing their latest financial controls program called 'Anchoring.'
Basically it's an aggregated percentage each club is allowed to spend based or Anchored to the 20th place teams earning year on year.
The ratio is the point of contention between clubs.
Brief overview.
Anchoring works like this.
For Example.
20th placed club, get relegated but earn 100m quid
If the anchored ration agreed is 4.5 or 5 means that the Winner of the Prem can spend 450m or 500m in the same season.
The 5h place team can spend 337.5m or 375m.
The team that finishes 10th can spend 225m or 250m.
The red filth in 15th can spend 112.5m or 125m.
The Argument from the Players union is that they see this as a potential salary cap and would mean that clubs would pocket more cash than the player. As the players are the talent they feel that this could end up leading to salary controls.
From our perspective it's a much better system.
Instead of being restricted to 105 losses over 3 yrs, if NUFC finish 4th we absolutely compete with the Cartel on salaries and transfer fees as the PiF can bankroll the big losses in the first 2 or 3 season to ensure we stabilise in the Champions League spots.
So the theory that the cartel have been tipped off that this is gonna be the system to replace PSR from next summer makes absolute sense. They are stacking their decks in an attempt to ensure we finish outside the top 5 / 6.
