    Williams signs - and goes

O/S: Zac Williams has joined Kilmarnock on a season-long loan, subject to approval.

The defender, who has also signed a new contract at Mornflake Stadium, will immediately link up with the Scottish Premier outfit.

Williams, 21, progressed through the Alex?s academy before making his debut aged 17. He has gone on to make 124 appearances for the Club.

The Wales Under-21 international will join former Crewe players Tom Lowery and Max Stryjek at Rugby Park.

If Scots clubs are bound by the signing fee rules I guess they wanted him but wouldn't pay a fee, so re-signed (how long?) with us, but they pay him this season.

So what were the conditions of the signing? And where will it lead? He's gone for one year but he'll still be young enough to qualify for compensation at the end of that period. The Alex could also, technically, recall him if he is successful and they think they could sell him.
Whatever, it can't end well, certainly until he grows up.

Wonder if it's a 2 year contract, so if Killie want to keep him they have to buy ..... As you say, if one year nothing different in 12 months time. LB didn't tell McGarry last night, just he thought i would be good for him, and he'd been responsible "up to a point"! Clearly this is why we signed Golding. Just need to sort Bogle now

Can't see how Bogle situation can be handled. If, as widely speculated, he hasn't been going to training and, of course, no pre-season, who would want him? Clearly the Alex can't claim breach of contract without his 'illness' being used in his defence, despite the club offering him the number nine short. However, if officially he is ill, then will he be claiming sickness benefit. Or are their contractual obligations covering sickness? (much as a broken leg will keep you out for a year - does the club have to bear the whole cost, or are there schemes like insurance cover or the PFA?). If there is an illness, why be coy about it? Why not be open about the illness like any other? It's this latter question that makes everyone suspicious.
