CL Draw

With all the recent unhappy news and rumours its easy to forget that this season should have been one to really to look forward to. We are cup holders and we are in the champions league again.

I made the mistake of watching the draw - my god they don't half overdo it - much prefer the no nonsense way they go about the FA or league cup draws (at least the way I last watched them do it). Of course, being in the final pot meant having to watch all the way through

This year ( and hopefully this will be a regular thing), we have drawn:

Paris St Germain (again) - Away
Barcelona - Home
Bayer Leverkusen - Away
Benfica - Home
Marseille - Away (thankfully no longer with Drogba who terrorised us the last time - I think - we played them)
PSV - Home (came down to either them or Napoli from pot 3 - glad we got them)
Athletic Bilbao - Home
Union Saint-Gilloise - Away (thankfully not Galatasaray away!)


Some tough games, but I think it could have been a lot worse. I'll take it.
Also, no long away trips - France (x2), Germany and Belgium - couldn't have been better for the team travelling (which can be an easily forgotten factor)

Could have been a lot harder and looking forward to the games we can beat any team at home so bring it on

Some good games there - pleased to play PSG again and Barca at home as said will be special.

I think we have enough to finish in the play off grouping at least, hopefully in the top 8 group.

Not too bad. Its the CL, they will all be games. Tingles thinking about the Barca and PSG games with the Tino hat trick jumping into the head. Maybe todays Tino can get on the scoresheet.

Those other matchups appear on paper winnable. Marvellous.
