Relying on youth they played five players under 20 and held PL side Leeds to a 1-1 draw. Leeds subsequently missed three penalties in the shoot out for Wednesday to go through to the next round.
In the league The Owls were beaten 2-1 at Leicester in their opening game then lost 3-0 at home to Stoke.
They managed to come from 2-0 down away at Wrexham last time out in the league to pick up a point, veteran Barry Bannon and Bailey Cadamarteri getting the goals.
For the Swans, Eom and Fulton are doubtful after knocks in the Plymouth game.
