    Another Starmer Own Goal

Absolutely ridiculous to even appeal the Bell Hotel case and overturn it. Another huge own goal for Starmer and more moving away from Labour.

With the s ex attacks in this town you can understand the frustrations running high. I wouldn?t want my daughter walking around that town. Many of the protesters are women and certainly far from Far Right!

    Absolutely crazy decision

Like I posted in a previous thread Al, he is like a blind man surrounded by garden rakes just waiting to continually walk into mostly avoidable situations because of his failure to read the room properly.

Tbh, in this case, I get why he wanted to over turn it because not doing so would inevitably set off a chain reaction and these asylum seekers have to be housed somewhere. The problem is that he doesn't listen. Why could he not at least directly address concerns, ramp up security and ensure better controls in these hotels if there is nowhere else to put them?

Clearly the system is broken and-as you say-spending this amount of money to house/feed asylum seekers whilst the number of homeless increases (along with the number of long term empty properties) cannot be right. Charity should begin at home. (Mind you, the same could be said of how much we spend on those in prison when too many working families still have to rely on food banks or free school meals).

Of course, the majority of asylum seekers just want a safe haven and somewhere to work and start a new life. Don't think you can blame them too much for trying to earn some money from working illegally (as they cannot work legally while being processed) but there have been too many instances where individuals have either engaged in criminal activities or been found guilty of ***ual assault. This plays right into the hands of the right but it doesn't mean that these things are not happening and are understandably causing genuine concern.

Aside from the obvious need to find more effective ways of breaking the trafficking gangs that facilitate the problem in the first place, there should also clearly be far stricter controls around the housing of such illegal immigrants/ asylum seekers and the processing system needs to be much faster. Unfortunately, all this is far more easily said than done.

The Appeal Court judge is a former treasurer of the Society of Labour Lawyers and chaired the left leaning Fabian Society which is affiliated to the Labour Party. A massive own goal by Smarmer and his cronies.

Judge Bean is 71 FFS. Shocking decision when there?s been a number of s exual assaults in the town. As Omeg says quite rightly it?s the Tool Makers Son?s failure to gauge public reaction.

I fear for the way this country is turning out with youngsters.

Farage will clean sweep the next election with the way things are going. If I was Farage i?d put down as a pledge now.. that ?they will deport 100,000* or so illegal immigrants?
(*whatever the figure is since labour came into power).

So that since then, it doesn?t matter if you?ve been granted asylum since that time, you?ll be out when they come into power. Just think the message it will send? I know this will cost us our own human rights.. which i?ve not checked what that would be.

The bigger crisis we should be talking about is how private equity is taking over the UK, literally. What?s everyone?s thoughts on that?

Farage will sweep the board as the public have had enough! Laughing stock of a country!
