ELK, it's one thing to point out what he's earned in being sacked but he is by far one of the most successful Managers the game has ever seen. IF clubs want to pay him stupid money for failing after 6 games, ridiculous, then so be it no one can blame him for accruing such a vast wealth through failure, that's football for you.

Let's take a look at the man Mourinho has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world, and with that comes hardware. He has won 26 trophies in his careers thus far.

He was the first Manager to win all 3 major UEFA club competitions, (Champions League, Europa League and the Conference League trophy).

    FC Porto
    Primeira Liga (x2): 2003, 2004
    Taça de Portugal: 2003
    Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira: 2003
    UEFA Champions League: 2004
    UEFA Cup: 2003

    Chelsea
    Premier League (x3): 2005, 2006, 2015
    FA Cup: 2007
    EFL Cup (x3): 2005, 2007, 2015
    FA Community Shield: 2005

    Inter Milan
    Serie A (x2): 2009, 2010
    Coppa Italia: 2010
    Supercoppa Italiana: 2008
    UEFA Champions League: 2010

    Real Madrid
    La Liga: 2012
    Copa del Rey: 2011
    Supercopa de España: 2012

    Manchester United
    EFL Cup: 2017
    FA Community Shield: 2016
    UEFA Europa League: 2017

    AS Roma
    UEFA Europa Conference League: 2022

If silverware also brings 88.6 Million pounds in compensation for being sacked, then it just goes to show how awash with money the game really is.

Another ex-Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag gets the sack.

German club Bayer Leverkusen sacked Erik Ten Hag after 3 games, in which the club
won 1 game in the cup, but lost the next game in round 2, then had a draw at home
    in the league.
