Charlton impressed in this one-sided London derby where history has always favoured Millwall. One journalist described this fixture as cursed. They were denied from taking all three points after Bangura-Williams equalised shortly before full-time.

Sonny Carey scored the opening goal the for Add1cks in the first half. Charlton started the game with the high press and great attacking intent. Ramay fired over and Apter had a couple of good chances before Carey's goal. The team continued in the same vein in the second period where Carey forced a save, Leaburn and Jones had half chances.

Charlton were reduced to ten men after Ramsay was red carded for a challenge on Emakhu. He know it would be a dismissal by the look on his face despite having an excellent game up until then. Even with ten men, Leaburn and TC still carried a threat. However Millwall made the extra man count when Bangura-Williams snatched the equaliser.
