In July Hatton announced his comeback. He was due to fight Eisa Al Dah at middleweight on 2 December in Dubai.

What I can't understand is why a random member of the public had reason to suspect something was not right and call the police. From what I understand his house was set back and had a fence around it making it very unlikely he or she could look in and see something wrong? Something must have triggered their alarm?

How could he be preparing for the planned December fight if he was suffering mental health issues? How could he get a licence to box? All seems a bit strange.

He had openly discussed his mental health issues in the past, he seemed to have recovered well though.
Whatever the circumstances he leaves us with great memories.

Absolutely devastated to hear this news, love Ricky, and have been following him a lot lately, he's really inspiring, a true man of the people. Speculation is pointing to suicide, I really hope it is unwarranted and it was a freak heart-attack, but it's seemingly unlikely given the reports.
