    Motherwell V Aberdeen

So the Match Thread starting stats so far this season looks like this.
    Swaddon2 - Started (4) Won (0) Drawn (1) Lost (3) Goals For (0) Goals Against (5) Points (1)
    BlowupSheep - Started (1) Won (0) Drawn (0) Lost (1) Goals For (0) Goals Against (2) Points (0)
That is quite pathetic but it's nae really the fault of Swaddon2 or me.

If Jimmy Thelin does not receive his P45 this week then he will take his bunch of under-performing, under-achieving, useless losing w@nkstains on the Bus and down the road to Motherwell Fir Park for our next league encounter.
Motherwell are also without a win in the league from 5 games so far this season, but they are also without a league defeat as they have played 5 and drawn 5 they have also managed to score 7 more goals than Jimmy's dons have managed so far.
They must be looking forward to the arrival of the dons, and if the current managerial regime is in still in place with the Pittodrie outfit then it's pretty much a bookies banker that Motherwell will register their first league win of the season.

Can't see any other outcome here other than 2 or 3 - 0 for the home side,

Sadly I can only see more of the same from last night. I can't see us scoring. I think we'll create next to nothing and if Motherwell can't score then best we get is 0-0.

Motherwell have been getting plaudits all season, despite the fact they haven't won in the league.

Up next for them are the the gift that keeps giving and although it pains me to say it, I can't see anything other than a Motherwell win.

More than happy to be proved wrong with this one.

Right ye radges ... Ah've nae posted in a while, but Ah'm energised noo courtesy o' half a bottle o' a lovely 1 year auld bottle o' Apple an' Sultana wine ... as pissed aff/frustrated by any ither Dandy, .. here goes .....

    Dear Yimmy ...

Gae yer sell a shakk ... or yer gaein yersel the sack!

Stop playin' 'Mastermind' wi' yer team selection ... jist select the best guy for each position ... it's nae complicated ... even if yev made it mair so.

Time for experimentin is baith 'over' and 'nae yet' ....

Goalie? ... Mitov ... there now, thew task jist got 9% easier.

Left back: .... Devlin might be auld, but he's a mair robust defender than Jensen, a better crosser o' the ba', and can actually put a shot on target!

    ... job now 18% easier!

Centre backs ... Dorrington an Knoester ... caker! Milne will soon be a stick on, but ... jist nae yet.

    Job now 36% easier.

Right back: Shinnie .... auld but solid ... gives 110% every time ... Gyamfi looks like a prospect, but keep him on the bench at least til Shinnie picks up the obligatory yella card an' is lookin' tae pick up a second.

    Job now 45% easier.

But now the tricky bit .. 4.2.3.1? ... no! Go 4.5.1 .... or rather, 4.1.4.1 .... convertin tae 4.3.3 on the offense.

The 'central 3' should be Armstrong, Clarkson ans Polvara. .... different and complementary abilities ... but each 'switched' on, spacially aware, and can pass the fkn ba'!

82% o' yer job don Yimmy min!

Wide forwards?? ... pff ... errr ... bring back Morris? ... OK, jist funnin' ...

Stick wi' Karlsson ... he's nae quite got the Scottish game nailed yet, but he can produce sh!t oot o' nithin' .... f()ck Keskinen ... gie Milanovic a funny shotty .... for similar reasons .... also because there are nae credible alternatives .... other than ( Ah'll come tae that ) ..

Striker? .... Has tae be Lazetic. In the limited time he's played, seems sharper than Nisbet.

Alternatively ... go 4.4.2 .... or 4.4.1.1. wi Nisbet as a '10' ... because he can 'play fitba' as well as find the goal ... an' either drap Clarkson fae the mids, or see how he gets on wide left - our weakest position since Morris departed - and for a lang time before he got his act tigither.

So there ye go Yimmy ... Ah would say job 100% done, but ken? there's times fan ye mak a batch o' fairy cakes, same recipe, same floor, same eggs, same butter, same sugar, same method, same oven temp, same time cookin as the last good batch, an' this batch? Crispy on the ootside, soggy in the middle .... Maks ye wonder if the ingredients are takkin the piss ... or the oven has sussed ye oot

Onywye ... ma punts are still dry ... so ... C.O.Y..R ... an C.O.J.T. ... Red til Dead!

Well with the game just being a couple of days away and no word on Theil having received his P45 it unfortunately looks like he will still be on the bus and in the dugout for this game. So again it will predictable 4-2-3-1 (stubborn tw@t)

    Anyway questions:
Is there anyone who actually thinks we will get three points from this on Saturday?
If by some miracle act of God we do, is there anyone who actually thinks we can then go and kick on from that?
If the more likely outcome happens (Motherwell win and we fail to score again) is there anyone out there that believes he will not be binned by Sunday morning

Thelin isn't getting sacked, unless we lose against Motherwell and Dundee, I don't even care about the European games, but I reckon a win against either or both will see him get until Xmas. A bit like Robson two years ago.

I think Aberdeen are the team that keep on giving, if a team have a unwanted record they want to correct, you want Aberdeen, but Tam Cowan thinks the same of Motherwell, so fingers crossed he is right and they let us get our season started on Saturday.

The last time we had a foreign manager and were bottom of the league with no wins we went to Fir Park and won 6-5 so I am predicting we will go down there on Saturday and win 6-5
