Thread: No Maccabi Tel Aviv fans at Villa Park.

  1. #1

No Maccabi Tel Aviv fans at Villa Park.

This is not a political thread, football fans are not allowed to watch their football team on foreign soil.

    WTF is going on?

Lancashire Police can safeguard the East Lancashire derby, admittedly with extreme measures, so surely West Midland Police can safeguard a few hundred Jews flying into Birmingham airport?

Starmer and his cohort of genocide supporters are now crying foul and claiming the Brummie Bizzies are anti-Semitic.

    FFS!

Repeat: This is football related and not a political thread.

    Who wants visiting hooligans?

West Midlands police said on Thursday it had classified the fixture as ?high risk? based on intelligence. The force also cited violence that occurred during a 2024 Uefa Europa League match between Ajax and *Maccabi in Amsterdam.

A report by Dutch police into the *disorder during that match found Maccabi fans had torn a Palestinian flag down from a local building and burned it, shouted ?**** you, Palestine? and vandalised a taxi. Maccabi fans were also taped chanting: ?Ol?, ol?. Let the IDF win, **** the Arabs.?

After the match there were what the Amsterdam mayor called a series of ?hit-and-run? assaults on Maccabi fans, which led to five people being taken to hospital and a further 20 to 30 were injured. Sixty-two people were arrested, mainly for public order offences. Four local people were given short jail terms for the violence against Maccabi fans.

What's wrong with allowing the Jews in and then if they decide to "Do a Millwall" arrest and charge them with the relevant crime?

    Have our Police gone soft?

Seeing has Starmer as condemned the actions of the WM police, lets see if he is going to use his power to overturn it

It's the thin end of the wedge for me ballcock. Since when did our local Bizzies have the power to stop us watching a game of footie?

Since when did Israel become a place in Europe.! That's where the problem lies. They should never ever have been allowed into European competition in any sport or competition .

This is another reason why im losing interest in football.
Having said that,if they are allowed in European competitions then their fans shoul be allowed to support them. The police force should be ashamed of themselves with their decision.

Surely this can't be a anti semitic decision by the police or can it. 🤔

How dare you even suggest our finest are possibly anti-Semitic, racist, misogynist, chauvinistic pigs Alfie?

Emily Damari, the hostage held by Hamas, eloquently writes: "I do wonder what exactly has become of UK society. This is like putting a big sign on the outside of a stadium saying: "No Jews allowed."

Or no football hooligans allowed? Either way the decision is a disgrace.
