Since Brexit, which most of you voted for the economists and analysts at Cambridge Econometrics have found that the UK is projected to have three million fewer jobs, 32% lower investment, 5% lower exports, and 16% lower imports than it would have otherwise. According to their report, the UK will be £311 billion worse off as a result.

Can we honestly say we’re not already feeling the consequences? Did anyone truly believe that leaving the EU and the ECHR would magically solve immigration? The reality is, we don’t have agreements in place anymore because we left. We can’t return asylum seekers to another country when we’re often the first safe nation they reach.

Ideas like “one in, one out” are nothing short of pathetic slogans and ar not serious policies. It’s becoming increasingly clear that Brexit has caused lasting damage to the UK’s economy and global standing. Meanwhile, other EU nations have bounced back after COVID even Poland’s economy is booming.

So why on earth do we keep letting charlatans like Farij dominate the conversation? His only talking point is immigration ,do people genuinely believe he’ll fix anything else? He want's to sell the NHS.

I’ll be honest: I have little confidence in any of the major parties right now. But I do respect that Polanski who seems willing to step up and fill the leadership void we’re in. Unless, of course, Andy Burnham decides to make his move.

Covid ( particularly the lockdown), the war in Ukraine (which by extension pushed up both oil and wheat prices), climate change (yes, climate change&#128513 which led to poorer harvests and so pushed up the price of foodstuffs and the election of Trump (particularly his second term) with his unpredictability and "big beautiful tariffs". All these have contributed to our present situation-as well, of course, as our political leaders over this period and their reaction to these things: Boris, Truss (her especially!), Sunak and Starmer take a bow.😥

I think had we not had Brexit and covid, cost of living and war happened, we would be in better shape to handle and adapt to those uncertainties. Cost of goods for instance and better supply and quality of goods from the EU. I’ve seen the quality of household food items either lower on quality or can’t get anymore. Being out of EU has made us weaker especially in trade. We have nothing to counter act tariffs Trump puts on us. But well bankers can get unlimited bonuses. There’s more I can mention but we really are not seeing the brexit dividends we’ve been promised by Reform, sorry I mean the UKIP party.
