Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked manager Vitor Pereira today ending his tenure after a catastrophic start to the Premier League season that has left the club winless and marooned at the foot of the table.
The Portuguese coach's fate was sealed following the Old Gold's 3-0 drubbing at Craven Cottage on Saturday.![]()

I watched the Toon today and they were ****e.![]()
Too true sinkov and I don't blame him for being conservative. We have picked up points and beaten Leeds, Sunderland and Wolves who, in spite of Sunderland's start to the season, must all be regarded as relegation prospects. Mind you, after watching the Toon today, they could be added to the list.
We have made a decent start and average 1 point per game which, if it is maintained, could take us the the brink of safety.
Personally, I am not bothered one way or another because I think that the PL is over-hyped and not good for football at all.
Laws and their interpretation have been changed just in order to accommodate the use of VAR. Classic example today at West Ham when, after the challenge by the Newcastle defender, the ball ran out of play and he then awarded a penalty. The penalty was overturned, correctly, by VAR ntervention, however, the game restarts with a dropped ball for the keeper. The ball was out of play when the referee awarded the penalty, therefore, why was a corner not awarded? Had the penalty been given when the ball was still in play, the restart would have been no problem with the dropped ball. MOre Laws and interpretation will be changed as VAR takes over the PL circus ---thinking next about the 8 second rule and its interpretation. B0****ks.
Will Will Still still be in the frame for any vacancies?
