    Eddie

His 100th win in charge of Newcastle today.

His 17th attempt to beat Pep as well.

What a time to get that 100th win.

When the reporter mentioned his record against Man City (which is fair enough), he sounded very humble...but also a little pissed off.

With Tino and Hall back it was proof that the noise around Eddie is laughable.

Going to 5 at the back for the last 13 mins was forced due to Hall completely cramping up after a few outings for England U-21 after a long time out.

It wasn't pretty for the last 10 mins, however it wasn't uncontrolled. It wasn't a 10 min pummelling. City had the ball and NUFC did drop deeper but everything was in front of them and the lads absorbed the pressure well.

    I think that's 6 or 7 home wins in a row now.

Credit to the manager for the tactics and proving that when he's got physical and mobile full backs the system works.

Woltemade should have had 2, Barnes scored 2 could have had 4, should have put away the first shot inside 90 seconds and how he missed the chance at the back post is beyond me. It was easier to score than miss. Same with Fodens shot at the other end.

It's clear to see that the full backs change the complete dynamic of that team and anyone calling for Eddie to be sacked, clearly knows nothing about football.

Tactically solid. City are elite level quality from 1-11, they are always gonna create chances. The toon create their own luck tonight and it was well deserved.

At least 1, possibly 2 full-backs in Jan/Summer with that similar athletic and technical ability in the 20-24 range needed. As good a soldier Burn in and as quality a technician Tripz is, the style requires pace and power.

We've been linked to a few FBs a Spaniard and a young'un from Belgium with Krafth being linked away. Rumblings that there is interest from Italy in Trips & talk in Germany for Schar.

There could be some interesting moved made in Jan.
