More of the same, that will be the message to our players before tomorrow nights match, where we take on fellow strugglers Portsmouth.
Both teams have only won two matches in the last ten. Pompey are three points behind us with a game in hand, their match at Charlton on Saturday abandoned early doors due to a Charlton fan unfortunately falling ill and dying.
There were green shoots of recovery on display from the Swans on Saturday against Oxford. A Stamenic header at the far post gave us the lead. Then a stand out goal from Tymon, probably a contender for goal of the season, made it a comfortable win in the end, apart from a few late scares.
The same urgency and commitment will be required again from the Swans on Tuesday night as there are no easy games in this fiercely contested league.
We are not out of the woods yet and have some tough matches coming up in the next few weeks.
Another win would be hugely welcomed.

Everybody puzzled why Idah was picked to start over Vipotnik unless he was being saved for Saturdays early kick-off at Stoke.
Portsmouth were a hard nut to crack and it was left to sub Cullen to break the deadlock late-on with a great left-foot shot. Pompey resorted to petty fouls, play acting and time wasting to slow the game down which was aided by another weak and biased referee who gave them every decision.
Another hurdle overcome and six points gained which gives us some breathing space from the relegation pack. In fact we are 6 points from the drop and 8 points from the play-offs as it stood last night.
We move on to the next batch of games now, which will be tougher, but with our new found confidence perhaps we can pick up more points, starting at Stoke on Saturday.

Each time I write something then click ‘post reply’ it times out and I have to log-in again. Plus the ‘restore content’ only saves a few words of the post. You need to give a longer time for someone to write a post and fix the restore content. So frustrating.

That was close right at the end, Portsmouth player toe-poke over the bar, but overall we deserved to win a hard fought match.

Another crucial fixture won thanks to the late goal from Cullen. It was a hard fought match and I thought Portsmouth were tougher than Oxford. Swans had several chances but some good saves foiled us. Then there was the penalty call in which the useless ref waved play-on. He gave advantage to Portsmouth on 50-50 balls throughout, awarding free-kicks to them continuously.
However, despite this we won, which was the main thing on the night.
