The 2025 Away leg Derby to the land of the Unwashed

    Bruno's short interview with Sky.

    https://www.skysports.com/football/v...n-is-important

Derby day on Sunday Bonny lad and lasses! 💪🏻 can't f***ing wait. It's all set up to be a powder keg of an atmosphere. 48,707 people all hating each other... The stench of the wear and the unwashed Mackems.

The decades of heated rivalry and the 6 in a row to over turn.

They will be under far more pressure than us. At home, point to prove, winning record to defend. The small club with the big chip on their shoulder as their bigger, more successful local rival swagger down the boarded up high street, fresh from the latest Champions League match in Germany.

The jealousy, the hatred... F***ing love it

They are ****e AF on the numbers. Punching well over the XG/XA. Unsustainably so. One eye on the volume of late goals the score as it's the last 5 mins the lads seem to be leaking a few. Save for the City match, in which, their game management was world class. Very strange that!

Anyway - The count down is on! HWtL

This is a match as much about character as it is quality.

I do hope that the unwashed are up for this on the stands. The Atmosphere needs to be electric.

Bruno has lots of derby experience Lyon v Marseille. The scumbag fans of Marseille do put on a good show.

Sandro & Thiaw are both veterans of the Milan derby, that's not for the faint of heart. That's for sure!

Gordon's been in enough Bindip v Bitter blue derbies to understand what is coming.

Plus the lads have also been the 'Le Stad Du Sh!te' and swept a feeble mackem team aside in the cup last season.

    Step up, man up, win.

    Absolutely, Jammy.

Anywhere near our best and we would win comfortably never mind how well they played.

However...how many times have we played well this season? The other issue is our mentality problem-we've lost 13 points from winning positions (inc Champs League) and that knowledge will affect both sets of players-we'll be nervous going into the last quarter of the game but, even if we're ahead, they'll be thinking they can get something.

I know they'll turn up...but will we? Away from home our mentality can be shocking but it absolutely can't afford to be on Subday.

Apperently Burn gave a big speech at the end of last training session about why it means so much to the city.

Going to need things like this so those that need to - get it.

Just read this one about the Mackems, very descriptive.

"Mackems originated from the drunken coupling of a brother and sister from a series of caves known as Pennywell. Legend has it that after consuming large amounts of Panda Pop and Hewla Hewps the two fell into an embrace, resulting in the birth of a race of six toed, cave dwelling, sub human filth."

    Match Day lads and lasses!

Smell the fear from the Wear wafting in across the Tyne. Like a broken sewage pipe, the air is thick with surrender and cowardice.

The Bris (has no one else connected the dots - A Bris in Jewish culture is the ritual circumcision, like some Catholics.

The circumcision recon's the Mackems are 'the under dogs'.

Funny that. Looking at some of the embarrassingly, poorly spelled social media posts. Those among the unwashed with opposable thumbs are brimming with confidence, they're mostly sure it's a nailed on home win.

Pointing out their late winners/equalisers and the NUFC penchant for conceding late.

Their early season form which has completely evaporated

    - their last 6 - DDLWDL
    - NUFC last 6 - LLWWDW

NUFC are trending up as they are trending down. 7 of their first team will have one eye on their Africa bound flights.
Either they'll be all blood and thunder, wanting to leave their mark on the first derby in a long time or they'll be concerned about picking up knocks and injuries ahead of the big tournament.

I guess we'll find out in 4 hrs.

    HOWAY THE LADS!

    Can't wait. So excited
