The Boss
Appointed Mansfield boss on 6th November 2020, Nigel Clough is currently the longest serving manager in L1. Since his appointment, the Stags have made year on year improvement and currently find themselves 9th in the table, only 6 points from a play off spot.
Who To Watch
Rhys Oates is joint top scorer for the Stags this season with 7 goals in all competitions. The 31 year old is a striker in form right now. He has 3 goals in his last two appearances.
Will Evans was top scorer for Mansfield last season with 14 goals and he is currently joint top scorer this time around, with 7 goals.
Jamie McDonnell is another player to look out for. The 21 year old midfielder is currently on loan from Nottingham Forest and is meant to be a player with real potential.

Summary
The last thing we need right now is a game against a team in resurgent form and unfortunately, Mansfield are exactly that. They've won their last three games, with notable victories away at Barnsley and Bolton. Last time out, they won 3-0 at home to promotion chasing Bradford City. So the game on Sunday will be a difficult one, compounded by the fact that once again, we have an horrific level of injuries.
For me, we have to go to a back 4 in this game. Maybe something like the following would give us a bit more solidity and in the main doesn't involve playing too many players out of position in order to accommodate a system that isn't working for us.

I think first and foremost we need to avoid defeat and when you consider that we have Bradford away and Stockport away to come after this game, you can see the importance of a positive result.
Unfortunately, I have a feeling it might be another rough afternoon everyone but try to enjoy the game.
