Oh goody! We're at home to another team struggling at the bottom of the table and going through a bad patch. Is it something to look forward to?
Well, compared to facing Newport, I have less of a worry against Harrogate. That's as long as, as a minimum, we have the same players available. Other players coming back would be very welcome. Of course, after a freeze with covers on and then a few days of rain, the pitch may deteriorated rapidly. It will be interesting to see how the Stoke funded turf stands up.

God Almighty!
Have these managers any brains or are they just dimwits?
One bloody striker against the bottom of the league club and again, FOUR at the back...
I mean if and its a bloody big IF.....They put FOUR strikers on they may, just create a few more chances...
The only saving grace is that I am warm at home not paying ridiculous money to watch this crap!
I wonder if they all need to go back to infant school?
I do think Bell was to blame for that. Very negative against bottom of the league, I know there are people missing but we had enough to set up differently. When he brought Finney on most of the crowd were unhappy with it. Finney isn?t good enough in my view. Neither is Powell any more, he never got over his injury. We got worse with the substitutions. It is always going to be mediocre with Bell at the helm. I don?t think we should do anything drastic but the Chairman needs to be putting out feelers outside of the club in advance of change in the summer. We?re not progressing and he?s had years now.
His obsession with Finney is a symptom. Finney is the " I don't know what to do, I'll stick Finney on" response. What is he for? He doesn't contribute anything. The pits was when he couldn't be arsed to chase that 50/50 ball down the wing when up against a really slow centre-back.
In other words Finney adds no special ingredients and is indicative of a management that do not have a creative clue.
Sanders had one of his least effective games of the season. O'Reilly looks tired. Agius's only contribution was the goal. Holicek was anonymous. Lunt was reactive and off the pace. Connolly again was a liability. How many times did his headers go straight to an opposition player? He also lost the ball on the halfway line not long after the equaliser and it was fortunate that Harrogate wasted the opportunity.
Billington was one of the few to come out of that game with any credit.
The whole approach was slow and ponderous. The only moment of intent and purposeful play ended in the Alex goal. Why do they always have to take the extra touch
One of the biggest problems is that (unbelievably for Crewe) we don't have a solid midfield. We cannot play through the thirds. There is no link up through the middle. Bell can only play down the sides or over the top.
Time for him to go.
All I have to say is 3 points
If Bell, Dicker, and Jackson are on minimum hourly rate they are grossly overpaid.
That game was insipid , boring crap.
For the Chaiman and Directors they will find that the opticians on NantwichRoad have a fine selection of prescription glasses.
