If you still love VAR read this

Personally I hate it. Have a read at this lot, lengthy I know but just look at the mess they made of the decisions and moreover, how those deciding differ in opinion.

To those that got it wrong, should stand down and then, they probably wouldn't have enough left to make the decisions.

VAR takes all the free flowing movement out of the game and how many times have we seen an attacker have a goal ruled out because of a toe or elbow advantage? It's killing the game and here's the proof why it's not working.

Let us know if you disagree and why VAR should stay.

FA Cup 3rd round managed to survive without VAR and with only 1 or 2 decisions that 'might' have been reversed.

I have a feeling that VAR is more in place in an attempt to prevent the PL/FL/FA from being sued by the big money clubs if/when a decision results in significant financial loss.

Get rid, despite the fact that at our level it might prevent the Charlies around me constantly yelling "he's off ref" when they clearly don't understand the laws.

CAM, on your point of 'I have a feeling that VAR is more in place in an attempt to prevent the PL/FL/FA from being sued by the big money clubs if/when a decision results in significant financial loss' what if one of these 13 bad mistakes could have also cost a club relegation etc. It could in effect backfire on them going by what you say.

As for fans misinterpreting the rules of the game, don't you miss those 'shout outs' from the crowd, especially when you can lean over to correct them?

I'm at a loss with how games are supposed to be officiated. VAR will piss away 5 minutes with offside calls of fractions of inches despite the apparent clear and obvious instruction, and the knowledge that the tech isn't up to that level of consistency and accuracy. Meanwhile referees have given up on foul throws, asking their 'assistants' to call fouls, and (one of the worst) allowing players to be abusive and swear at them - seen this recently on 'ref cam' and was amazed by how much they let slide.

There's no wonder many fans get so frustrated when things are so inconsistent.
