    Barrow boys

More of the same. It's a while before we play another team as low as Barrow. After that, we start playing teams higher than ourselves. Will there be better outcomes from those games? Who knows? I expect to Gresty Road on Saturday feeling disappointed again. They've got a new manager - bounce???

I am getting to the point that I dont give a f. NO matter how bad it gets we are still going to have the same pathetic managers in controlfor the distant future. By far the worst example is MJ in the under21`s. Middle of January 1 (one) win and he is still in charge, Wow.

Afraid our club has no ambition and it is going to be more of the same rubbish. Fed up being bored and frustrated with the sub standard football on display. Doubt I will renew my season ticket. Had enough.

Just give up mate as the Chairman and Board of Directors could not give a toss either as long as the PL and FA are funding the academy they carry on no matter how the team plays or what the results are. I bet LB thought he would be sacked after the results we have had and especially losing a match to the bottom of the leageu who had not won a match for 8 or 9 months. They should have had a board meeting the day after. LB was surprisingly upbeat when nothing happened and its carry on regardless.

I read that Manu last 20 managers who were sacked all had better results than us and that says a lot. Maybe they are happy to pay peanuts for our management team and players when having competent people would cost them! Their public relations is pathetic, just like the results!

i'm like you. I really could not care who we play or what the result is...

If you think that the public relations are pathetic, there is a Fans Forum Thursday 29 jan, only ?1 entry. I think that the very existence of this event alone, held 2/3 times per season elevates the PR way above “pathetic”
The whole of the board plus LB and RD will be there.
You can ask ANY question you want to, and in my experience the answers are always honest. It doesn’t have to be a question as such, so you could put forward your suggestions as to how they could improve. The proceedings are reported in real time on X and Facebook (more PR)
So Mike, an ideal and cheap opportunity for you to put your thoughts to the club re their PR.
Perhaps you could also ask about playing 5 forwards, and ask LB why he needs so many “helpers” while you are there?
The opportunities are there for you Mike, 2/3 times per season. Will you take them?
If you can’t attend, then there is the opportunity to send in your questions/thoughts and the compere (usually Graham McGarry) will put them to the board for you.

It is more than churlish to say that the chairman and the board don't care about the club. I wouldn't be putting my hand in my pocket for something I didn't care about. All to easy to throw inflammatory words about with zero consequences. We live in a time when this is happening in all areas of life. I tell you what, we would be right in the you know what without Charles Grant and the board. I know when the team isn't doing well some will shout loud and yes, I agree, results could and should have been better. But we are 10th ffs, not 20th or lower.

I think that anyone who has ever been to a fans forum, or listened to Charles Grant talk for over an hour evey pre season on the podcast, would be in no doubt whatsoever that he is passionate about the club

No comments on the game? - but then we won which rules some out. Not a great performance but 3 well taken goals, Alfie Pond looked good and calm, Lawlor made some good saves, don't know how Mickey D stayed on till the end, though a CH either side of him must have helped - just hope he's OK for next game, when CT too may be back. Much needed 3 points in the bag.

Good that we have O'Reilly and Tezgel till end of season. Decision only needed on Mingi but frankly who cares? No extra loan forecast by LB but if someone becomes available we have a place available, & Mingi's expendable too you'd hope.

A very accurate summary of the events on the pitch. We were much better than them, but we have been against a few other teams and not been able to win so it was a satisfying afternoon. Agreed, Pond did look decent. Mingi can go back for me, he looks quick and going forward potentially good be a threat. But clueless when it comes to defending. March, O'Reilly and Sanders were very good and if we can get Tezgel fit in the next few weeks we look a strong team with decent back up. I suspect we will come up short in respect of the play offs but either way, we are not good enough for League 1 yet.

A point at Notts County and another at Bromley would be decent results.

It's great that we are still scoring goals. Another 3 good ones on Saturday. However, it's not good that LB shows no confidence in his team by shutting up shop with 50 minutes to go. When are we going to bolster the midfield (not least to help out Sanders) so that we can crowd out the opposition at the halfway line rather than having a flat back 9 based in and around our penalty area. We had one attack in the second half and just conceded the pitch to the opposition. We won 3-1 but I still left the stadium feeling cheated as did everyone around me.

I agree that the reappearance of Tezgel would make a difference but no way will he be back at the end of February, as predicted. The 'black hole' of the treatment room will probably keep him until it's too late to make a difference.
By the way, does anyone remember someone called Jack Lankester?
