A win is a win as they say but Charlton certainly made hard work of this one in a one nil victory over the Blades.
Sheffield Utd started off by far the brighter side and it was down to Thomas Kaminski showing his worth to the club, to keep their many attempts on goal out.
What changed the outcome of the game was the two red cards. Djibril Soumare for Utd was red carded for a foul on Harvey Knibbs (foot up). Harvey was stretchered off the pitch and I hope his injury will not keep him out for too long.
His replacement Sonny Carey was also badly fouled by Japhet Tanganga (arm up) and another red card was awarded.
The introduction of Dykes and TC after the break, made for a slightly more attacking set-up to take advantage of playing against nine men and Carey scored on 46 minutes assisted by Dykes.
Leaburn then had a chance to score a second but was thwarted by the Utd GK Cooper. Charlton saw out the win and managed to keep a clean sheet.
Charlton goal: Carey 46
Pick of the Players: Thomas Kaminski
