    Hull v Swansea

    Hull v Swansea Sat 24 Jan 15:00
It is one of the longest trips of the season on Saturday as we take on fourth place Hull. Both teams coming into the match off the back of wins, Hull a resounding 0-3 win at Preston and the Swans a 3-1 win over Blackburn.
Swans will want to improve their away record after impressing at home under Matos.
We have Vipotnik, the Championship’s leading scorer on 13 goals, Hull have ex-Swan Ollie McBurnie on 10 goals close behind. Our squad was boosted today by the signing of young 20 year-old Brazilian winger on loan from Brentford Gustavo Nunes, who can play on either side. Inoussa is definitely out with a back injury and Galbraith is being assessed after coming off with a leg injury last match.
Hull drew down here last September with a late late equaliser in the 97th minute, hopefully we can do the same to them up there. They have won three and lost three of their last six home matches so it is not inconceivable that we can get something there. Come on you Swans!

Hoping our new Brazilian loan winger will deliver the goods tomorrow. Only 20 years old but very highly thought of by Brentford.
Gustavo will feel right at home in Swansea with the Portuguese speaking contingent, head-coach Matos and his three assistants, plus players Franco and fellow Brazilian Ronald.
Hull have an injury crisis they say, but you could have fooled me, winning 0-3 at 6th placed Preston mid-week.
Talking of our ex-players there, you mentioned McBurnie, there is also another, remember Kyle Joseph.
So two pronged attack and what’s the likelihood one of them scores!

Hull were lucky down here with a last gasp winner as we lost concentration.
Their home form is not as good as their away form so can be exploited.
Our away form needs to improve if we are to challenge at the top half of the table, at the moment it’s letting us down.

    Hull 2 (McBurnie 24’pen, Slater 39’) - Swansea 1 (Cullen 59’)
A game of two halves. Unfortunately another defeat on the road. It could have been an away win but for chances missed
    First-half -
Vipotnik guilty of shooting wide of an open goal - twice! A stupid gift of a penalty for hand-ball by Cabango, arm outstretched what was he doing, McBurnie sent Vigouroux the wrong way 1-0.
A 30 yard volley from the unmarked Slater 2-0.
A late Hull surge on our goal but we held firm
    HT: 2-0
    Second-half -
All Swansea as they pinned Hull back in their final third most of the time, except for the occasional foray, but all our chances were well saved, a Cullen header just before he scored was saved full stretch and a Stamenic volley also saved full stretch. Goalmouth scrambles galore but the ball wouldn’t fall for us, Hull defending desperately.
Surprisingly (although not surprisingly thinking about it, with many a ref biased against us) there were just four minutes time added on by the ref, but there were ten substitutions plus injury time to be taken into account.
(NB: Whilst not a strict rule, referees often work with a rule of thumb of approximately 30 seconds per substitution to account for the player leaving the field and the new player entering).
At the end of the day another loss though, no matter how unfortunate we were not to score and win the game.
