I see that my thread on Trump's disgusting statement on the role of non-American soldiers in Afghanistan has been

hidden in the thread on TDS.

You have done a disservice to the honour of the brave by including it in a topic which, the premise being so ridiculous, is

barely worthy of discussing.

It was done by me as the subject had already been raised and started to be discussed on that Trump thread. One Trump thread is enough for me.

I'm nowhere near as regular a visitor to this site as I used to be and I'm shocked to see such blatant bias and intolerance. The thread wasn't moved for any reason other than the mod didn't agree with the sentiment and tried to bury the thread and shut up the voice. So much for objectivity and impartiality. It's pathetic and so poetically appropriate, occurring as it did on a thread disparaging Trump.

I've seen some fantastic debates in my 22 years on MM - footy and politics. This site used to be so vibrant. Sadly, it's become a fading shadow of it's former self with cliques and intolerance being the order of the day.

Have to disagree it’s not about power. CAM often merges threads if they are about the same person. The thread can still be commented on if people choose to.
Maybe the OP is annoyed that it hasn’t triggered enough responses that he was hoping for?

I had searched for the TDS thread and put a post on it about his ****ty remarks before your new post.

When yours were merged I just saw it as the mods doing a bit of housekeeping.

Ideally there wouldn't be any threads on Trump, Farage, Tiny Tim or any of the other 'populists' that get regularly raised on here.

The TDS thread had effectively died and is a frivolous subject. It is a Trumpian response to criticism, not a medical condition. If you can convince me otherwise, I'll drink my bleach.

Trump's comments have caused grave offence to the families and friends of the deceased and maimed. Putting the subject into a thread that hardly anyone was taking seriously compounds the offence.

I'll readily admit to treating much of the stuff on here flippantly, but not this. In response to Yak it's not about 'clicks', it's about the offence this lying, disgraceful piece of excrement has caused.

As for his 'faithful', perhaps someone can guide me to the measured response by Poundland Nigel or 'I'm on holiday' Tommy.

I think the mods generally do difficult job well on here.
I can see why Cam merged these 2 threads, but I can also see why some think there might have been an ulterior motive ,and in this instance I don't think there was.
Anyone with a handful of brain cells can see Tango for what he is...a dangerous, thick,man-child bully.

The caused grave offence thing is lost in your hatred for Trump again fair enough I know probably better than anyone on here the suffering from what he spoke about. I chose not to comment because I believe your intentions are with Trump who is bang out of order with the comment rather than the troops.
I put a post on a while ago about how the SAS has been treated by this government. You weren’t bothered then so why do you care about the forces now?
You don’t it’s your hatred of Trump what’s driving this which is fair enough just be honest.
