Have to agree that whatever actual ball skills he may possess, Holicek rarely contributes anything meaningful..
A dreary, game from the Alex, hardly any purpose or intent.
How will they cope on Tuesday against a completely different set up?

Another dire display. Wonder who LB will blame for this one. No prizes for guessing who will not be to blame? County were a far superior side and it could easily have been 4 or 5-0. But then we are a small club. Whatever you do please do not tell our Chairman and Directors that thye majority of clubs above us are in fact smaller than us. Bromley potentially the smallest.
By LB selecting Holicek he is electing to play virtually 10 players. He runs around in open areas and virtually never competes. Doubt very much that he could fight his way out of a paper bag..Please send Finney and Holicek out on loan.

In a recent pre match interview in the main lounge, it was either Harrogate or Barrow I can't remember which, Joel Tabiner was the guest. One of the questions asked to him was who was the best teammate he has played with, without a seconds thought his answer was Matius Holicek followed by a quote which went something like this. He does some amazing things in training.
That probably sums up our club perfectly. Unfortunately teams don't play against us like they are in a training session. Today it was men against boys for the main part. Finally I truly hope that Mickey is not doing himself any long term damage by turning out when quite clearly he should be nowhere near the pitch.
Very poor game for us from the first minute to last really. For whatever reason we never got going. The same team as last week that got a result against poor opposition - which maybe shows the gap between us and the play off teams performance wise. Three away games out of the next four matches which is perhaps likely to leave us firmly outside the play offs. Unless something miraculous happens we will be looking to next season by early February, this one will have fallen away. We do not have a divine right to be up there and we have a small budget but it is disheartening when I thought we had a squad that could really do something - and it isn?t a strong league this year, look at Bromley, not many saw that coming. Who knows though, we are often better away from home and a couple of players to come back?
I always look at things practically and the stats show that we went for 96 minutes or so without one direct shot at goal and their GK made no saves whatever,
Now if the Chairman runs this club and allows over one million pounds per season to be spent on wages to run the academy, then its clearly failed the very basic test of football.
You decide if this is due to poor quality coaching and training including the many managers we have then over to you.
There are many teams in this league that spend next to nothing on academies or coaching and are doing better than us....why is that?
Mr Chairman, do you run this club or not?
This is my main gripe. We do have, potentially, a good team in a quite average Leagues 2. However, they are not performing anything like to their full potential. For example, Notts Co have 2 lumbering CHs who showed yesterday, on a couple of occasions, that they weren't comfortable under pressure. In fact, whenever the Alex looked remotely like starting an attack, County resorted to fouling. Not something you do when comfortable. However, how often did the Alex try to to work on this? Virtually never. Why was that the case is the obvious question. My conclusion, for a couple of months has been that the management do not know what to do. Except for 10 minutes or so in the second half, there was no high pressure, which is what is needed when the opposition are uncomfortable under pressure. Why not when we know the Alex have proven themselves capable of it in other games, particularly at the beginning of the season?
We will always be mid-table under the current management because flair is beyond them. Unfortunately, as things stand, this club cannot afford to be a mid-table, League 2 team. Only a promotion (and cup runs but the management always play weakened teams in the cups) can improve the financial position but that is not going to happen with LB and co. So are the powers that be prepared to accept long term decline brought about by lack of finances? Or will they be bold and take a risk?
Could you ask him or someone else ask him on my behalf and you can quote directly from my question. I don't go outside after dark as its too dangerous for me at my age etc...
Thanks for anyone putting that question as it needs answering, along with the very poor results we had since September...
Unfortunately I will not be there. First one I will have missed for a while.
There are always questions sent in by people who cannot attend. Not sure what the mechanism is for that, but Im sure a call to the club shop will give you the info.
And funnily enough, I disagree with Luckour re the style of answering.
