    New non-executive Director signs in

Great news. Surely no coincidence that this appointment is announced the day after one of our better transfer windows.

    Onwards and (hopefully) upwards.

Hopefully he knows how to sort the football side of the Millers board.
Proper valuations of players & their contracts.

If you listen to the part of him saying, 'Well look, with my mind apart, I'm making sure Matt feels backed, supported and motivated by the board, I think he has all those things today but we can enhance that some more'. There's your answer of why so many players came in yesterday, his money, his interjection and what timing.

His persona, stance, intellect, care for the club he's followed for 50 years, makes me feel there really is a footballing god looking down on us. A man of drive, passion, and determination just in his voice, makes you want to applaud him and all that from a Rotherham lad born into a steel working family....totally grounded.

    Here's the full interview....

Thanks for putting the link up Giddy.

It sounds exciting and realistic and ambitious at the same time.

On another note, I seriously hope he's looking to turn those empty bloody units into something that have remained empty for 14 years, they are an eyesore on what is a good stadium.

Er, is that not the commercial director’s remit?

To a degree or, if they have been instructed to leave it be all these years then, it's down to the owner to say why it's still empty.

We may well be looking at a future chairman, who knows? Certainly has the credentials. TS always said handing over to the right type of person important.

The comment link with the appointment and these transfers, no statement has been made that money input has been by him in the announcement. We should be a little wary of reading into things and making 5.
The Guy said money input is not needed. Hmmm.
A little puzzling is his initial task is to ensue MH feels backed by the board etc. Sounds like that is not the case?

I hope all goes well, and he can make a difference. We certainly need some help.

Going back to the COO interview Brin, it was reported from that, that Tony thought no need to go advertising, everyone knows they are available. If true, you have your answer.
