Think it odd that every other professional sport has an official time keeping system. Rugby, ref says stop clock, start clock and game continues after the end of second half time goes red and continues until the ball goes out of play or there is a breakdown in play that needs the ref to blow to restart. Breakdown has to be caused by the team with the ball.
American football is even stricter and game clock can be rewound.
Think SFA should make the rules, and restrict the regulations to top tier, internationals an all cup games for quarter finals onwards.
