Absolutely disgusting decision by VAR.
It's slowly killing the game....I hope it never comes to the EFL.

Cracking game and a great moment stolen by VAR.
Just give the goal and move on.
By going back and doing it all by the letter of the law. No one benefits.
Liverpool still lose the game but now also lose their best player for 3 games.
Chekri loses a great moment and goal from his own half.
Football fans lose an iconic moment.
Absolutely disgusting decision by VAR.

Saw this and thought the 2nd half anyway was a great match, I have not and do not like VAR I am totally baffled by the decision and couldn’t be bothered to watch the “experts” pick the bones till 8pm, games gone, as said let’s have a bit of common sense 1-3 to City for me
I disagree. How can the Liverpool player be sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity when the goal was scored?
Complete lack of common sense and I still don?t know who benefitted apart from Liverpool?s next opponents because their best player is suspended. .
Yes the applied the letter of the law, but they don’t apply the letter of the law all the time do they. VAR doesn’t cover all aspects of the game, so we have no idea how many times a ref sees something that under the letter of the law should be treated a certain way and they let it go, get it wrong. There is no perfect system but that wasn’t a decision that felt right, imagine that was the last game of the season that decision would have given Liverpool 6th place and Brentford 7th place, it would have been a lot more controversial then. However it was a good game.
Maybe the Liverpool player shouldn't have pulled City player back?
The other point that it is a farce is.
Why didn?t the ref blow the whistle when the Liverpool player pulled him.
The answer is because he played advantage. The advantage was gained and then he took the advantage away by have the game re-referred by VAR.
