    World Cup 2026 over pricing

    They're all at it!

Having visited 30 states in the USA, I have in the past used North American Travel Service. You pay slightly more had you organised your own trip but they organise the job lot for you and supply a good itinerary to follow.

I've just received this from them today and I nearly fell off my chair!

    FIFA WORLD CUP 2026

    England Games East Coast USA
    Boston and New York City

This once-in-a-lifetime trip combines tickets to two England World Cup games in Boston and New York, including hospitality, with exciting stays in these two vibrant and cosmopolitan cities.

    What's included?
    Return & internal flights

    7 nights accommodation

Two England matches with premium hospitality access:

England v Ghana Champions Club Level, Boston (23 June)

England v Panama FIFA Pavilion Level, New York (27 June)

    7 nights from 8,869pp | Departing 22 June 2026

I get the VIP hospitality part but bloody hell they are outrageous prices for one week and two games.

I'm fairly sure they're going to play most games in stadiums that are only one third filled at best, given the ticket prices quoted.

We have games in Santa Clara not too far from where I live so my son-in-law and I were looking at prices.

A fairly uninteresting Group game between Switzerland and Qatar will cost between $450 and $990 per person. (Pds330 to Pds730)

A round of 32 game starts at about $750 and rises to about $1700 per person. (pds555 to pds1260)

I suspect there may be price discounting closer to the dates but, with good San Francisco Giants baseball match tickets going for about $50 each, I know what live sport I'm more likely to be watching in summer...(Actually I'd probably prefer to watch my grandson play Under 13 ball games sitting on a rickety bleachers at the local High School - for nothing!)

Just shows that yanks don’t get football !

It stinks and countries should boycott the whole event. I’ve only been once to the states - it’s still the Wild West in many ways !
Balls to em ( and Den Perry ) for those rememberin Brian Potter !!!
