    Recruitment

We have 3 strikers at the club abd Eddie can't trust any of them.

Woltermade is a good player but not a number 9, Wissa is a number 9 but is shit, imo. Osula is just shit. Plus, we kept him when Frankfurt wanted him in January,

Yes, we were left in a bind by the rat but the subsequent attempts to address our needs were laugable. A toddler gurning and throwing soggy Weetabix at a set of Top Trumps Strikers cards could have done a better job.

Our tactics when things aren't going our way are like someone learning a new card game where they don't know the rules and they just play any card combination in the hope it pays off and this is down to, in part (a large part) not having any strikers fit for purpose.

Tbh, I don't even know where I'm going with this thread but I just needed to vent.

We’d better be off with Wilson than Wissa and Osula

This season has been utter ****e and the blame must be shared among a number of people.

I dont think its just that the strikers are shlte.

Firstly that bald tw@t Paul Mitchell needs to be shot with shlt, he cam into the club with a massive reputation,

it was considered a real coup to get him. He came in to the club and immediately plssed off the manager

and ruffled the feathers of the fansbase.

Talked as though he was the dogs bollox, plssed off Isak by going back on contract promises made by Amanda

and then quit before his first proper summer.

Secondly Isak, did the dirty on Eddie and the club leaving us with only Osula on the books.

Thirdly PIF need to take a huge chink of blame, stemming back to appointing Eales and Silverstone.

Eales was the reason Amanda was forced out, Silverstone is the reason we have a shortage of easy sponsorship deals.

Next there is Eddie Howe. He is too stubborn with his tactics, too loyal to players who should be moved on or dropped

and is only buying athletes instead of players that fit into the tactical plan. He also has no plan B.

Wissa is a write off for this season, he had no pre season, so that makes him 6-8 weeks behind everyone else,

he then got injured and was out for a long time. He needs a full pre season under his belt before we can really judge.

Big Nick is being played out of position, this is the lad who Germany really believe will win them the world cup,

we dont play to his strengths, we begged for Tonali to play in the 6 role last season, Eddie didnt listen for months

and voila, as soon as he did, we went on a winning run.

This season we are screaming for Nick to be played as a 10 behind a striker and Eddie STILL insists on playing him

    in deep midfield.

Lastly, PIF again with the short sightedness of the players contracts. We have a significant number

of players out of contract this summer, who will all need replacing and that is even before we strengthen the numbers!

I'm not Eddie out, but im on the fence as close to being Eddie out as i can be.

Im willing to see how the summer pans out and give him until xmas but after that, he lives by results.

I have an awful feeling, his own stubbornness will be what eventually finishes him

And fo0k Nick Pope, get rid of this clown yesterday!

Absolutely dead on mate, I couldn't disagree with any of that especially EH's failure to change direction once in a while.

Yes indeed, A solid presse on the state of play. The rot set in before this season.

Goal Keeper should have been replaced with a top talent. Pope was a man who saved NUFC 9-12 points in his first season or two.

Now he's costing the team 12-15 points.

An elite level ball playing keeper is needed.

It's damage limitation in the league this season. Do what ever we can do to finish as high as possible.

FA Cup, I don't care. Not gonna be disappointed to dip out and focus on the Prem and Champions League.

I would counter that, Raga, by saying the FA Cup is our only route back into Europe this season.

Let's not kid ourselves that we'll get it through the league. There are teams way better than us who won't make it.

    Sadly can't disagree Tanya.

Although I agree with Zip about FA Cup.

I think Wissa has been biggest let down sadly, not really his own fault but still.

Elanga and Voldemort, I think will come good.

I think we re only a keeper and a striker away from being a very good side. We get to the byeline and cross with ease several times a game but the cross hardly ever finds a man.
Pope has started making mistakes again but even when he doesnt then he rarely helps set our counter attacks going which should be a strong point.
With the striker situation we currently have, we should be shooting a lot more IMO.

    Agreed.

If we hadn't lost Isak he'd be top scorer in league way we get stuff into box.
If we hadn't lost Wissa to injury and he was going from the start I reckon he's be in the top 3 scorers in league.
