    New Manager

Is that it for a new manager now, is it Morrison until the end of the season?

Or are Bilkul still looking for one?

Not against Morrison staying to steady the ship but unless we have an experienced manager with him - we are going down! Jed will be pleased though if it?s Morrison because he will start 😂

I just can't see any manager - experienced or not getting us out of this hole.

I've just resigned myself to League 1 now. Anything else this season is a massive bonus.

Depends who we get 123. I know some will say no way - but I would take Mowbray only until the end of the season on the basis there was alleged interference from Nestor when he was here and he still only just missed the play offs. Also on the basis - he knows the club - knows the players and respected.

I thought Mowbray was a dreadful manager. In fact, I think he was worse than Mason. He had a much better side than Mason and I couldn't fathom some of his decisions.

He's also not really known to be a good defensively minded manager, and he was here last season without pulling up any trees.

Having said all of the above, I don't really have a clue who else I would go for.

That?s the problem! I certainly would go with Mowbray over Big Dave who lost the plot at Port Vale!

Sadly, I’m unsure that any manager will engender adequate effort from the team to improve performances. Mozza knows the players well and that in itself is not necessarily a good thing. He has of course been around as a coach for the last few years and therefore been part of the team planning / set up.

There are a number of players who realise there will be no future for them at WBA and their agents will already have taken soundings at other clubs. These players with contract terminations have little desire to up their game. “Not fit to wear the shirt” rings true.

I remain to be convinced that an incoming new manager, irrespective of their pedigree, will make much difference.

Glass still half full though…but leaking somewhat

I read somewhere that both Mowbray and Big Dave had been approached but neither wanted a deal just until the end of the season, they wanted a two year contract, at least. I know not if that is true or not but it wouldn’t surprise me. I would let Morrison stay in the role to the season’s end but I would be so disappointed if we went down and Jimmy were to be removed from the Club; he’s Baggies through and through. All that can save us, I fear, is other teams doing even worse than us.

Very true Prando but then you play your youngsters. Many would rather go down fighting with youngsters than see dross like Wallace, Maja and Dike who will be out the door!

I am unsure Morrison has the cajones not to play the likes of Wallace. I remember clearly when it was the last game of the season v Luton he picked Diangana to start over a youngster and Diangana was leaving after that match!
