    Meningitis Scare

Awful news with this meningitis in Kent with two bright youngsters passing away.

Tipp - not that far from you and I bet youngsters running scared!

Number of meningitis cases in Kent rises
A total of 15 cases of meningitis have now been notified to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), the agency says in a statement.
It says this update is accurate as of 5pm yesterday.
The agency says that all cases have been hospitalised, and four of them have been confirmed through testing as the MenB strain.
UKHSA previously reported 13 cases of meningitis, including two young people who died, in Kent.

Don?t know how the locals are reacting at the moment Al because I am currently cruising in the South China Sea. However, on reading posts on the local news it appears to be confined to educational establishments in or around Canterbury which is about 15 miles from me. Meningitis is an infectious disease so my locals are a little bit worried about their children although we no confirmed cases in my town.
