    That's probably helped him hold down his job and allowed him to financially support his family for the best part of 20 years.

    Not many people hold down a senior role in any business for that long these days. So I'm sure he can put up with the petty name calling from people who probably haven't earned as much as he has over the years.

    Other than rumour and a couple of awkward interviews, no one has ever produced any evidence of Paul Douglas being incompetent.

    It us one of the great myths of Rotherham United fans.

    I've just read Paul Davis's article in the Advertiser about the demise of Matt Hamshaw and one paragraph stood out:

    "Soon after his arrival, the boss was tasked with drawing up a three-year plan.
    Then it lay in his drawer because nobody subsequently asked to see it."

    Remind me again what are some of the key responsibilities of a COO?
    No wonder the club is in a death spiral if senior people just can't be bothered 😡.
