    Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard recently said that Newcastle United is his second favorite team.

In an interview on TNT Sports, he confessed that outside of his lifelong bond with Liverpool, the Magpies are the side he would most like to see clinch the Premier League title, a sentiment he had never publicly shared until now.

"Outside of Liverpool, if I ever wanted anyone to win the league it would be Newcastle, they are my number two team in the Premier League! I never ever said that, but there you go!"

    --------------
Funnily enough, this doesn't really surprise me.

Interesting though, alongside Kroos being here this weekend and now Gerrard coming out with this - we seen to be having a lot of positive stories from ex big name players.

I think ex-Prem players who were on the visiting side here...it's bound to have left a lasting impression and a positive one at that.

As for Gerrard, I remember him getting a standing ovation when he came off in a game where he'd been outstanding and he applauded us as he went off.
