Players Contracts - Who Decides for Next Season

    Players contracts.
Clarke & Levin in charge until end of the season.
No one in the boardroom having a clue on contracts.
Rob Scott ( ex-director of football, after Steve Evans came back to the club, & decided who he wanted to recruit ), Scott not pulled many trees up has to getting the right players in, after being demoted back to recruitment.
So who will decide on what players we should offer a contract to, surely not many who's contract runs out end of the season.
Kayode & a lot more need to get shut of.
Luckily we have Sam Nombe under contract for 1 more year, unless the club decide to sell.
The club is under a cloud, relegation on the horizon.
    Needed
Someone with football knowledge on the board, a decent full time medical team.
Someone to act on contracts, knowing the system.

Like him or loathe him Barry Fry is your contract manager you would want at this particular time.

You ask a fairly impossible question, we will not know, and darned sure the club will not until for at least 6 weeks.

They will probably have to sift through all those high quality candidates first, then let the new man decide most of it.

Most of us know what we would like to happen, but that is not quite the same thing. Decision making at the club is not its strong point.

Offer a deal to Powell. James money dependent. Goodbye everyone else (think Douglas has another year?)

    For me sell Nombe

Since most on here want a squad clear out, that is at odds with a manager change, look what he had to work with. That is not necessarily in support, simply where most of the problem was.

And the squad going forward will be more important than the manager. Warne proved the culture is the most important thing.

I believe any player OOC in the summer, just about, should be let go. We need a new strong fit core to the squad. That is what I would like to see. That would enable stability for the younger players, bar a couple of exceptions who should be found a home.

Crikey Brin, it would be depressing to trawl thro it. You know as well yourself who they are so stop the barb.

Who to keep would depend on what kind of squad you want and how you wanted to play. Correction, whoever the manager is decides the style of play.

It is easier to say who I think has made an impact, can be an asset. Problem is that Gore is not our player, Nombe is probably going to be sold. Powell has started to wain or be injured. I cannot see Gray being allowed back.
Cann is a great understudy, done well.

Beyond that, who really has shown any reasonable consistency, is not past 29, does not easily get injured, is not a loan player.

Doesn?t leave much. And Hall and Martha have shown to be passengers on far too many occasions.

So there is my answer Brin, go smirk. Or name your own list.

Loanees can't be 'retained' and, independent of contract status my list would be

    Agbaire
    Adegboyega
    Douglas
    Spence
    Kaleta
    Yearwood
    Powell
    Hall
    Martha

Clearing out the old pros and want aways (there are probably some of those in my list too).

It's going to be a busy summer for the manager, whoever that might be.
