We missed Wallace today. He has played really well lately, but also replacements arent ideal. Jimoh isnt a right mid and we dont have anyone else fit and capable.

I genuinely dont know who will go there against Blackburn.

Yes Wallace has played well in the last few games but he?s can only last 60 minutes - his legs have gone and he?s on 25K a week. I like Jed but like 68 said he was on the decline 2 years ago when Fellows was a different class. Bostock is the future and yes Sule would do a better job than that fat slow lump Dike.

Youngsters should be the future and need game time. Don?t get me wrong I would start Wallace over Bostock but I have no fear over 90 minutes that Bostock will do a good job. Wallace like Dike need to be gone in June as too slow, wages are sky high and they?re too injury prone!

I look forward to Grant and Johnston returning.

Age, wage and contract are a bit meaningless at the moment. As in all three are immaterial in a relegation fight. We just need our best players to play and Jed was our best available right winger, with the next available being worse.

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, I need convincing around Bostock. He looks miles off the level needed. Give him a loan and maybe he can come back capable. Until then hes just a kid in a mans game.

I agree meaningless at the moment and we missed Wallace today but we certainly miss Mikey more!

I love watching a school boy play who is just 16 play for Arsenal - Dowman - in the best league in the world. Also nobody could convince me Sule would not be better than Dike! I can move faster than him FFS!

At the end of the season we need to be ruthless with high earners who are too slow, too injury prone and not the future. Sunderland have been magical because of young pacey talented players! Youngsters are the future before they leave us and it?s the biggest failure of our football club!

We seem to be more intent on playing other teams youngsters than our own, yes Bostock is raw and is nowhere near playing a full 90 mins but is miles better than that useless Illing junior and the latest pile of crap from the Villa, also in my opinion subs wise Soule would have been a better option than Dike, the simple reason the lad would have been so keen to do well, Dikes finished as a footballer, he?s become another one of our infamous non goalscoring forwards along with that hopeless lump Heggebo

I thought Dike played well against Southampton. A bit of match sharpness makes a lot of difference and he has been second fiddle to Maja in the presiding weeks. But his lack of mobility and overall sharpness in front of goal doesnt help us. I would like to see us get someone mobile next to Heggebo even if it’s a kid that isnt quite ready. I dont really like having two lumps up top.

Iling Junior had good ability: he was fast, decent crosser, could shoot, quick feet etc. He had a stinking attitude and a confidence issue which held his performances back. I dont think Bostock is there in terms of ability and I think he is just around the team because of our winger situation. Im sure he is talented.

I imagine the club will focus on bringing in a couple of younger players next season, and the rest will be loaned or be a distant part of the squad. Bostock will be loaned to league 2, I would have thought. He will have benefitted being part of the mens squad.

Last season Akeel Higgins was scoring a lot of screamers in PL2 and looked good. He was ahead of Bostock. He has gone on loan to Exter but only scored once and struggled to secure a spot. It does perhaps show the levels. League 1 and 2 a massive step up from PL2, which is why I think we should be cautious about younger players.

But there?s enough teenage players who are excellent in Premier teams so it just takes a manager with cajones. Let?s be honest Fellows who is a different class to Wallace would never have gotten his chance had Wallace not been injured. Even then CC was desperate to play Wallace but knew the outcry had he dropped Fellows.

Junior was a shocking player and could not even trap the ball. Even all the Boro supporters in the pub at their play said good luck with him because he was s hite!

Dike is finished and too slow and needs to be shown the door! Maja in the other hand links up play well and could become good with match sharpness - better in fact than Heggebo who in another Kanu - holds the ball up well but poor feet and a poor finisher .

Don?t play the youngsters then someone like Villa will come knocking. We have a poor record of blending youngsters into the team. Taylor is another one where he could be playing in the Premier next season and loved by Millwall!

Taylor is a bit different though isnt he? He was ready to be part of the team and then we had no choice to sell him or take a points deduction. In hindsight, it might have been a decision that has kept us up.

Val brought through Fellows, and similar to Bostock he looked a fish out of water. He gets a loan to league 2, comes back a different player.

Its only really the most exceptional youngsters that go straight in, in the prem. The rest get loaned which is the best way of bringing through most players, which is what we have done.
