    Mustapha

Jesus - I forgot this guy existed! When are we going to get another Dan Ashworth or Director of Player Recruitment?

Not only are our talented youngsters overlooked time and time again - which person with the white stick is in charge of player recruitment?

Mustapha - I forgot he existed! Are we paying him?

The two loans from the Vile have been shocking! Junior was crap for Boro and now this Aloba is no better than our other youngsters

Yes Campbell albeit certainly no Heggem has been decent. Spending five million on Heggebo seems poor business to me when he?s slow with poor rhythm in his feet. He does sometimes try hard though!

Next season - I hope we have a new manager with a new vision - fresh ideas and fresh tactics together with a player clear out. Skobala at Lincoln has done an amazing job and like Carlos he learnt his trade at Leeds United. Having hammered us pre season they have walked league 1.

I hope groundwork is already under way or I can see nothing changing!

As for Mustapha he must be mates with Bany and considered the unknown DUO - FFS!

There is a difference between a cheap, squad filler signing that might and might not work out, and a paid transfer.

Mustapha reportedly costs us less that £1k a week. We must have made it clear to Palace that he is to help out while we are short in numbers but probably wont play.

You cant judge the recruitment team on this type of deal. Heggebo, Gilchrist and Taylor sure. We have certainly been hit and miss for a few years now, both through luck and judgment.

Diakite came with a pedigree but a track record of injuries. The club took the risk and it paid off. It could have easily not. Frabrotta on the other hand was a small gamble and didnt pay off. Given both are freebies and likely low wages, its not that big of a deal, if one out of the two worked out we have still done well.

Diakite been ok but gives the ball away so much then you look at Okay who was far superior to anything we have now - so was Palmer, Heggem and Fellows. Yes we had to sell but that came with consequences as the players in now are no where near the same quality. As 68 says Wallace was on the decline two years ago and Fellows was a different class.

This is why in my view we need a fresh approach next year to build blocks again and replace the quality we lost. The back passing at Blackburn was tedious and that?s been there since the CC days.

Let?s hope Millwall do not nick another talented youngster! Fair play to Caleb though as he?s playing in a great team there.

It is a shame that the circumstances have meant he had to go and we didnt get to see his maiden championship season, which he was clearly ready for.

If you stick Campbell, Phillips or Mepham in that Milwall team instead of Taylor, we would be talking about them instead of Taylor. They are all equally good centre halves of similar quality. Campbell IMO has the most potential out of them all.
