In what could be a crucial fixture, Charlton ended up drawing away at Sheffield Wednesday. Avoiding relegation is still not a certainty as Portsmouth have put together a good run. Blackburn and WBA are only a point behind Charlton with three games remaining, who themselves are six points ahead of Oxford so it's getting very tight.
Onto the game, the highlight was Matty Godden scoring. Docherty and Dykes had a few half chances in the first half. Though Wednesday had much of the possession and had a few attempts themselves as Godden hit the bar just before the first half ended 0 - 0.
Matty Godden scored the only Charlton goal early in the second half after Lloyd Jones headed a long ball forward. Then Sonny Carey so very nearly scored hitting the post. Godden had another chance and forced a save from Charles in goal for Wednesday. Wednesday equalised when Will Mannion dropped the ball from a save which enabled Gabriel Otegbayo to score.
Onto Ipswich on Wednesday for another tough encounter.
Charlton goal: Godden 50
Sheffield Wednesday goal: Otegbayo 76
Pick of the Players: Matty Godden
