    Which Country if you Could?

If you could emigrate which country would you choose? I know on here many are fond of Australia ( Prando and Mick ) and one poster lives in Canada.

For me it would have to be Spain due to family connections and being fluent in the language.

Australia for me but not in one of the big cities. Possibly just outside of Perth would be the number one choice. Loved it all when we visited 12 years ago.

Almost went to Canada in my early 20s, had a job offer from Bell telephone's .
But after all the red tape with imagration I gave up .
I think the USA would have suited me .

Just a slight correction baggieal buddy…we have 2 sons both with families - one in Australia and one in Canada. On balance we would choose Canada.

PS I’ve met up our Canadian poster in Calgary when he lived there. His connection with WBA is Dudley

Your spoilt for choice Prando. I would love to visit Canada in 2027 so definitely on my wish list.

Have always wanted to travel abroad but have only ever been to Paris once and then Florence and Venice back in the 80s. A combination of finances and our youngest son having autism have meant that when have had holidays, they have been in the UK.

With retirement coming up soon, I'm hoping to remedy that a little and get to some of those places I've always wanted to visit but as for actually settling down anywhere other than the UK, for all the attractions others may offer and for all the issues currently facing us here, I wouldn't move. There are still some nice places to retire to in this country and, of course, the biggest downside of moving abroad would be the difficulty in seeing family.

I'd need to look at a list of all the countries Greta Thunberg hasn't been to before deciding which one I'd like to live in. Although I'd probably need to move again if she ever rocked up. Just saying.
