    Premier League Cup Winners

Congratulations to our Under 21s tonight who beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light to win the Premier League Cup.
A very hard fought game in which our keeper, Cooney, kept us in the game in the early stages with a couple of fine saves. We scored after a good move down the right flank, started by Connor Roberts who was playing his first game after his problems. It was netted by Clark with a good left footed shot in the 44th minute.
Sunderland came out strongly in the second half but in the 48th minute we scored again when McMahon-Brown somehow got his foot to a cross and scored with what looked like a scorpion kick.
We came under the cosh a bit after this and Sunderland pulled one back in the 72nd minute. We defended well for the rest of the match and created a couple of chances which came to nothing but, after 7 minutes of added time we ran out winners.
Congratulations to all concerned, this was good to see.
