Why does.anyone but Celtic or Rangers bother north of the border

Four decades since any club but Celtic or Rangers won the Scottish championship.

Is there any nation on earth that gives a more biased route to "success" to a certain set of football teams?

And should we be surprised that one of those teams is owned by 49-ers Enterprises?

My Scottish team is Rangers but I still was rooting for the Jam Tarts all season as the duopoly is unhealthy. Hearts undone by a ridiculous penalty decision given to Celtic against Motherwell and now the disgusting behaviour of the "fans" after the win against Hearts. Strip them of the title and kick them down a division or two.

Think Motherwell had all the bad luck you can get, with a lot of very harsh decisions going against them, all seemingly aimed at making sure Celtic got what they wanted.

I think you may find that Bayern Munich has some kind of financial and regulatory advantage in the Bundesliga. No expert but heard from more than one person that follow that league that Bayern have some sort of huge "home court advantage" as far as the league goes.

Personally, if you are going to tip the scale as a league goes I'd rather have 2 teams getting the advantage than 1. I'd say the FA is that way with Citeh but they have tried to crack down on them some over the years without luck.

looking in from an outside perspective then financial disparity and tv broadcasting rights from Sky sports are the biggest problem as they only want the lucrative Old Firm fixtures thus creating such a a crazy format for other teams to chase after.

as for any positives, the SPL serves as an excellent proving ground for emerging youthful talent with clubs routinely acquiring young players for low transfer fees to then develop before selling them on at a substantial profit.
though in purchasing an established prestigious SPL club costing a fraction of a PL club does evaluate less capital for more realistic ROI potential through potential brand growth and possible gateways into direct qualification or playoff routes for lucrative UEFA comps including Champions League, so potential to dabble for the brave.

my son considered offers in SPL for limited first team experience which may appeal to young European players who often can find it easier to secure regular, competitive first team experience in Scotland compared to the more conveyor belt academies route of France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Holland and Belgium, so it does have merits as a league.

as for those shocking scenes on the pitch in Glasgow and surrounding area it really does show how football attracts such diverse personalities amongst its followers with a small element needing to feel part of anything that releases a vast range of emotions to satisfy at any cost, some of course totally unacceptable being shown in and around Celtics stadium via the use of mobile phones glorifying mob rule behaviours which ultimately does sadly reflect upon the problems within todays society in general.

just hoping that this forum survives without the antics of ridiculous outbursts that have become all to common when discussing all our valued opinions of LUFC whatever they maybe - maybe my age showing but felt the need to say it.

Imagine if Leeds fans invaded the pitch before the game was over?
